A pair of Dollar Express stores in Toledo that closed this year will reopen in the fall as Dollar General locations, the retailer announced Thursday.
Tennessee-based Dollar General said it planned to renovate the stores — at 551 Dorr St. and 4925 Jackman Rd. — and expand the merchandise. Each location is expected to employ six to 10 employees.
Dollar Express announced in March it was closing all 323 of its U.S. stores by the end of April. However, Dollar General later agreed to buy the stores and has been reopening some as Dollar General locations.
