Two local models, Mallory Mahoney and Elena Molino, walked the runways during New York City’s Fashion Week which was held July 7-14.
Both Mahoney and Molino represented top designers Yurita Puji, Chasity Sereal, W.Reflex, and Tina Tandon.
“Being around people with different mindsets was a really cool aspect of the experience,” Molino said. “My favorite designer to work for was W.Reflex. Their clothes were very modern, and all of the pieces fit together in a really interesting way.”
When asked how she felt when she found out she was chosen, Mahoney stated “In a matter of under a year, I went from being a hostess in Toledo to walking the runway in New York City. It truly feels like I won the lottery.”
Both models are from Michigan and began their careers with Starbound Talent in Toledo. Mahoney is a graduate of Bedford High School, while Molino graduated from Trenton High School.
“The excitement we feel towards our models being chosen to represent these top designers is monumental,” Starbound Talent president Wendi Davis said. “Our ability to recognize who is marketable, as well as our access to industry leading agents and managers is what fuels our success.”
Davis has been placing her models, actors, singers and dancers nationally, and internationally, for 20 years. Starbound Talent is well known in the fashion and entertainment industry for its expertise in placing clients.
