University of Toledo sophomore guard Rian Pearson has been named Mid-American Conference West division player of the week.

Pearson averaged 22.5 ppg and 8.5 rpg in addition to shooting 54.1 percent (20-of-37) from the field in a win at Miami and a loss to Kent State.

Pearson tied his career best with 10 field goals made in both contests. He has recorded seven 20-point efforts this season.
