XENIA, Ohio - A 69-year-old Ada man died Sunday night of a heart attack while skydiving near this southwest Ohio city.

Lawrence J. Massillo opened his parachute after jumping from an airplane but was unconscious when he floated to the ground, Greene County Coroner Claude Lyons said. Mr. Massillo died of natural causes, not from the jump, Mr. Lyons said.

Family friends said Mr. Massillo, a retired contractor, had been skydiving for years.
