ONSTED, Mich. - An Adrian man died yesterday after he lost control of his vehicle south of here on a snowy U.S. 223 and ran into a tree.

Bronson Mansfield, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene of the Rome Township accident south of Hawkins Highway, Lenawee County sheriff's deputies said.

Officials did not know whether Mr. Mansfield was wearing his seat belt when the accident occurred at 12:18 p.m.

Mr. Mansfield was a former basketball standout at Lenawee Christian High School in Adrian.
