Leahy, a Celtic music group composed of five sisters and four brothers, will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Ritz Theatre, 30 South Washington St., Tiffin. Born and reared in Lakefield, Ont., the group was the opening act in Shania Twain's world tour in 1998 and appeared in two of her U.S. television specials concerts in 1999. The members, ages 23 to 36, all play a variety of musical instruments and step dance.

White House correspondent for National Public Radio Don Gonyea will speak at 7 p.m. tomorrow in the River Raisin Centre for the Arts, 114 South Monroe St., Monroe. Before moving to the White House beat, Gonyea, a Monroe native, spent nearly 15 years in Detroit reporting on the automobile industry and labor issues. Gonyea can now be heard on NPR's Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Weekend Edition, and Talk of the Nation.

Sister Souljah will speak in a free program at the University of Toledo at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Student Union Room 2592. Souljah is the author of No Disrespect and The Coldest Winter Ever, a national best-seller. As a rapper, her debut album, "360 Degree of Power," sparked conversation on issues of racism, sexism, education, and reparations.
