Toledo Yacht Club, 3900 North Summit, inspected Dec. 12. Critical violation: All open, potentially hazardous food (PHF) must be date labeled. Fifteen noncritical violations. Inspector: Jenny Gottschalk.
Rose Garden Pizza, 1800 Miami, inspected Dec. 12. Critical violations: No paper towels or soap at the handsink in the kitchen and bar. All handsinks must be stocked at all times with soap, paper towels, and hot water to properly wash hands. Hand sink by dishwashing machine leaking on the floor. Repair the hand sink immediately. All sinks must be in working order. Out-of-date food found in the walk-in cooler and prep cooler. Discard all open food items in the walk-in and prep coolers. Potentially hazardous food, once opened or prepared, has seven days to be used. Cheese in the prep top at 46 degrees. All PHF must be held at 41 degrees or lower. Discard items on the prep top cooler. Repair cooler so it can maintain proper temperatures. Observed employee dump mop water into three-bay sink. The three-bay sink is to be used only for washing-rinsing-sanitizing dishes. Instruct employees to dump mop or cleaning water in the mop sink. Thoroughly clean and sanitize the entire three-bay sink before using. Observed unlabeled chemical spray bottles in the kitchen. Properly label and store all chemicals. Sixteen noncritical violations. Glass City Grill and Bar, 1705 Tollgate, Maumee, inspected Dec. 12. Critical violation: Improper food storage practices observed in cooler and freezer. To prevent potential cross-contamination follow storage guideline handout provided. Two noncritical violations. Inspector: Paul Bauman.

Lutheran Home of Toledo kitchen, 131 Wheeling, inspected Dec. 11. Critical violation: Observed food items without date marking. All ready-to-eat, potentially hazardous foods must be properly date marked. Two noncritical violations. Inspector: Julie Nye.
KFC, 3506 Dorr, inspected Dec. 11. Critical violations: The wipe cloth buckets by the chicken prep area and serving line were at 100 ppm. Adjust bucket sanitizer concentration to 200 ppm to properly sanitize. The macaroni and cheese in the warming drawer was at 122 degrees. All potentially hazardous foods must be held hot at 135 degrees or higher to prevent the growth of bacteria. Food discarded. Fried chicken holding in the serving cabinet was 114-138 degrees. All PHF must be held hot 135 degrees or more to prevent the growth of bacteria. Chicken voluntarily discarded. Replace the heat lamp. Eleven noncritical violations. Inspector: Gillian Wilke.
China One Buffet, 4751 Monroe, inspected Dec. 11. Critical violations: Egg fu young on buffet is holding hot at 123 degrees. All potentially hazardous foods must be held hot at 135 degrees or more. Item discarded at time of inspection. Garlic in oil is at room temperature at 62 degrees. Eggs in walk-in cooler were left out and are at 55 degrees. Shrimp in the walk-in cooler was at 43-53 degrees. All PHF must be held cold at 41 degrees or less at all times. Do not leave foods out at room temperature long enough to change temperature of food to danger zone. The dish machine is not dispensing chlorine sanitizer at time of inspection. Chlorine must dispense at 50-100 ppm. Call repair service immediately. A consumer advisory must be printed on each sushi menu warning customers about eating raw fish. No record keeping observed for sushi rice. Sushi rice is PHF and may only be kept at room temperature for no more than four hours. This also applies to prepared sushi rolls on the buffet. Written procedures for this must be in place as well as an update log for sushi rice and sushi rolls. Log must include time that the product was made, and expiration time for product, and how much product was discarded. There was no sanitizer in the three-bay sink at the bar at time of inspection. Glasses must be washed, rinsed, and sanitized in a solution of sanitizer at the proper concentration. No date marking observed of food items in the walk-in cooler. All prepared foods that are refrigerated, ready-to-eat, and potentially hazardous must be date marked. Foods may be held up to seven days at 41 degrees or lower. Two noncritical violations. Mancy s Restaurant, 953 Phillips, inspected Dec. 11. Critical violation: Clam chowder was at 108-142 degrees. This product is required to reheat to 165 degrees within two hours, then hold at 135 degrees and greater. Inspector: Debbie Dacquisto.
Longhorn Steakhouse, 459 West Dussel, inspected Dec. 10. Critical violations: Open cooler in wait station area holding PHF at 60 degrees. All PHF must be held at 41 degrees or less. Sanitary buckets at less than 100 ppm quaternary ammonia. To effectively sanitize, quaternary ammonia must be at a concentration of 200 ppm. Change buckets more frequently. Inspector: Bauman.
Toledo Robin, Inc., 4850 Monroe, inspected Dec. 10. Critical violation: Blocked handsink on cookline and a food handler changed gloves without washing in between as a result. All handsinks shall be accessible to promote frequent hand washing. Inspector: Wilke.
Red Lobster, 4990 Monroe, inspected Dec. 10. Critical violation: Handsink at the cookline has been removed and in the process of being repaired. Food handlers have to leave the cookline to go to the server line to properly wash their hands. Replace sink as soon as possible. Inspector: Sattler.
Subway, 5840 West Central, inspected Dec. 6. Critical violations: Mayo and light mayo are both holding at 48 degrees on the sandwich prep cooler. All PHFs must hold cold at 41 degrees or lower at all times. No sanitizer buckets available at time of inspection. A sanitizer bucket with the correct concentration of sanitizer must be set up at all times. Also, wiping cloths must be stored in sanitizer when not in use to prevent bacteria growth. Do not store cleaning products with food contact items. A spray bottle of oven cleaner was stored with plastic drink cups in the cabinet below the handsink. Inspector: Sattler.

Ping On, 525 East Manhattan, inspected Dec. 11. Critical violations: Raw meats stored above precooked items and produce in three-door cooler and walk-in cooler. Store all raw meats and shell eggs below all other food items to prevent cross contamination. Garbage can used to hold box of green peppers during prep. Food must be protected form contamination at all times. Store food at least 6 inches off the ground and in a clean, dry place. Scoop used for sugar had food residue. Any utensil used for food must be kept clean and sanitized. Car mat was stored on bags of rice. Store all employee items in a designated area away from food and food contact items. Rice bags used to line steamtable. Surfaces must be smooth, non-absorbent, and easily cleanable. Rice bags are absorbent and support bacteria growth when moist. This is a repeat violation. Fried rice in rice cooker at 131 degrees. All PHFs in hot holding must maintain at 135 degrees or above. Inspector: Cutcher.
East Toledo Family Center, 255 Heffner, inspected Dec. 11. Critical violation: No food thermometer available to check the temperature of the food. A thermometer must be available at all times to check the temperature of cooked foods. Provide one that can be calibrated and reach from 0 to 220 degrees F. Inspector: Gottschalk.
