Firelands Symphony performance moves locations

A forecast of inclement weather is resulting in the Firelands Symphony Orchestra and the Marblehead Lighthouse Historical Society to move the Saturday’s Pops on the Peninsula concert from the lighthouse to Port Clinton High School.

Ron Brooker, the orchestra’s executive director, said the forecast for Saturday calls for storms with hail, so the event is moving indoors.

“We can handle a little bit of rain, but when they start talking hail, we had to back off a little,” Brooker said.

The concert on Saturday will start at 5 p.m. and is free. The high school is at 821 Jefferson St., Port Clinton.
