Buckeye adding MSNBC and 4 other channels

Buckeye CableSystem is adding a third cable news channel to its lineup. MSNBC - which competes against CNN and Fox News Channel - will be available to subscribers beginning Tuesday.

MSNBC will carry events from the 2006 Winter Olympics, which begin in February.

In addition, Buckeye is adding the following channels: here!, which is being called America's first gay television network; Sleuth, a new crime/mystery/suspense genre network; The Word Network, billed as an urban religious channel, and The Tube, a 24-hour music channel.

The cable company is also adding the high-definition companions of existing channels. They are: Starz HD; NHL on OLN HD, NFL Network HD; Universal HD; INHD; and INHD2. Cleveland station WOIO-HD will be available to Erie County subscribers.
