Walleye run begins in Maumee River

The walleye begin their spring run on March 7 from Lake Erie up the Maumee River to spawn.

Fishermen begin their pursuit by casting from the banks and in the river at Orleans Park and Buttonwood/Betty C. Black Recreation Area, each in Perrysburg.
