For the second consecutive year, the Toledo Zoo is a nominee for USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice travel award for best zoo lights.

Daily votes from each electronic device may be cast at 10best.com/​awards/​travel/​best-zoo-lights-2016/. The online contest ends at 11:59 a.m. Dec. 5.

Last year, the zoo’s annual Lights Before Christmas, presented by Key Bank, came in second to the Cincinnati Zoo’s display.

This year’s Toledo display opens Friday and continues through Dec. 31. It includes the return of fan favorites dancing lights, a large lighted tree, and an ice slide. A new feature this year is bumper cars on ice.
