USPS temporarily suspends service for multiple West Toledo residents

The postal service claims it is due to 'suspected suspicious activity'

Mail for approximately 20 homes in West Toledo was temporarily suspended this week due to “suspected suspicious activity,” according to the United States Postal Service.

David Van Allen, a spokesman for the postal service, wouldn’t provide information as to what that suspicious activity was.

The affected area was near Revere Drive, starting at Berdan and extending to Hillcrest Avenue,Mr. Van Allen said.

Mail delivery was temporarily suspended Saturday, and it will resume today. Residents were able to pick up their mail at the post office throughout the week, Mr. Van Allen said.

The Toledo Police Department said no incidents were reported with their agency relating to the incident.
