The public is invited to learn how to respond to traumatic injuries and stop severe blood loss at a free event 2 p.m. Sept. 27 at Way Public Library in Perrysburg.

Representatives from Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center’s trauma program will teach “Stop the Bleed,” where participants learn how to alert authorities, identify bleeding, and compress the wound until emergency personnel arrive.
