"...as human beings we are capable of making sense of situations based on the thinnest slice of experience."
— Malcolm Gladwell, author of Blink and The Tipping Point.
GRAB BAG!!!: It's a Thin Slices mishmash Wednesday with a few twists and turns on a busy St. Patrick's Day. We check in at the South by Southwest Interactive Festival, take a peek at Tuesday night's American Idol results (for the record, we thought Crystal Bowersox did a fine job and for our money she's so much better than the other contestants that it's kind of ridiculous.), look in on Sandra Bullock's possible marital issues, and close with our new favorite band, Drive-By Truckers, whose fine new album "The Big To-Do" is in stores now. RL
REAPING, SOWING: Rielle Hunter is finally talking and it's our guess that John Edwards -- she calls him "Johnny" -- wishes she'd zip it a bit. In her interview with GQ magazine, Hunter reveals a number of aspects of their relationship, dodges the paparazzi, and poses for some sexy pictures. The interview is kind of gross, so beware. But wait!!! Now she says she thinks those pictures are nasty , even though, ahem, she was looking at them while they were being taken. All was can say is this: good thing John Edwards never made it to the presidency, ay? RL
