Wauseon's Reckner sets PPK national record

Jake Reckner, 13, of Wauseon recently set a national record in the 12-13 boys age division of the Punt, Pass and Kick competition.

An eighth-grade football player, Reckner punted 112 feet, passed 156 feet-5 inches and kicked 151 feet-5 inches for a record-setting total score of 419 feet-10 inches.

Competing in the Cleveland Browns Division of the national event, Reckner advances to the Browns championship on Nov. 5. It will be staged at Cleveland Browns Stadium in conjunction with the Browns-New York Giants game.
