FARGO, N.D. - J.D. Bergman of Oak Harbor took first place at the Asics Junior National Greco Roman Championships for the second straight year.
Bergman, competing for the Ohio Junior National Greco Roman wrestling team, was 9-0 in the 189-pound division. He earned the event's award for the most pins in the least amount of time.
Other local wrestlers on the Ohio team were Bradley Marzec of St. Francis (2-2 at 140) and Andy Legg of Fremont Ross (5-3 at 189).
To be eligible for the event, a wrestler must have been enrolled in high school this past year and be no older than 19.
