A day of displays due at TBG

The second annual Arts in the Garden is scheduled rain or shine from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in Toledo Botanical Garden, 5403 Elmer Dr. A variety of art demonstrations by resident organizations, entertainment, displays, tours, and vendors will be on hand. Also at TBG, Spectrum Gallery, Friends of Fine Art, presents its 2003 Abstract Show today through Sept. 5. Richard Reed is juror for the show. Information: 419-531-7769.

eA solo exhibition of the oil paintings of Steven Conine is to open Friday in 20 North Gallery, 20 North St. Clair St. The display, titled European Sojourn, features works from the artist's travels in the 1990s. It opens with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. and continues through Sept. 19. Gallery hours: noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Information: 419-241-2400.

eOrobs Fine Art Gallery, 1822 North Reynolds Rd., presents the paint and metal hybrid artwork of Bob Martin and Mike Sohikian through Sept. 5. Information: 419-537-9443.

eThe Arts Commission of Greater Toledo is accepting applications from area artists to showcase their artwork during the 2004 exhibition season in Parkwood Gallery, a community gallery space at 1838 Parkwood Ave., headquarters for ACGT.
