Sauder Village in Archbold schedules woodcarver show and sale

Sauder Village, 22611 State Rt. 2, Archbold, will host a Woodcarver's Show and Sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 28 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 29 in the village's Founder's Hall. The event will feature carvings and supplies from artists throughout the tri-state region, along with workshops and demonstrations by guest artist Peter Ortel. Show-only admission is $6.50 while admission to the village and show is $12 for adults and $6 for students ages 6-16. Information: 800-590-9755.

Twenty original works of art by students from the Toledo School for the Arts will be on display during public hours on a rotating basis throughout the school year in the public areas of the SeaGate Convention Centre, 401 Jefferson Ave. Information: 419-255-3300.

Flatlanders Art Galleries, 11993 East US 223, Blissfield, Mich., will host Border Line Bliss, featuring sculpture by D.W. Martin, through Nov. 12. A reception will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Information: 517-586-4591.

Original paintings by Lisa Grizaniuk will be on display at Diva, 329 North Huron St., through Nov. 3. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, 5:30 to 11 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. Information: 419-324-0000.

The Main Branch of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library, 325 North Michigan St., presents "Painting with Paper," a traveling exhibit of children's book illustrations by Denise Fleming, beginning Saturday through Dec. 20 in the second-floor gallery. A reception and celebration featuring a lecture and book signing by Fleming will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Library hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday- Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 1 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Information: 419-259-5207.
