An exhibition of detailed drawings by local artist Denise Declercq is on exhibit at Perrysburg Municipal Building through April 26.
Declercq, who has been on hiatus from exhibiting her work, is known for including intricate detail in her pencil drawings, which are often “thought provoking and at times humorous,” according to a news release from the show’s curator, Main ART-ery. The show is sponsored by the city of Perrysburg.
The municipal building, 201 W. Indiana Ave., is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

■ A new mural by a local artist has been installed at the Kroger store in Waterville, a collaborative effort between the store and the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo’s Art in Public Places program.
Life Abundant, is an 8-by-20-foot mosaic depiction of Waterville’s landmarks and landscapes, created by Bowling Green artist Gail Christofferson. The mural was designed with the assistance of Toledo artist Deb Buchanan.

■ More than 75 pieces of art created by high school students at 11 schools in the 9th Congressional District will be a part of the Invitational Art Exhibition, an annual contest hosted by the district and its congressman, Marcy Kaptur (D., Toledo), in conjunction with the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo.
A panel of local jurors will select award-winning artwork that will be announced at a reception and award ceremony from 4 to 6 p.m. March 18 in the lobby of the Fifth Third Center at One Seagate in downtown Toledo.
The show will be exhibited in the Fifth Third Building from March 12-April 4. This is the 35th year for the contest.

■ The Anthony Wayne Area Arts Commission and the Anthony Wayne Regional Chamber are seeking artists to enter a contest to create a logo for its new campaign, Experience Whitehouse.
The logo will be used in conjunction with the village’s annual Cherry Festival, June 7-9, and will be featured on all promotional material, including T-shirts and mugs.
The winning artist will receive $100 for original design rights. Artists may submit up to two designs, that must be submitted in jpeg or pdf form to email@example.com.
Deadline is April 1.
■ Lourdes University will host an art lecture featuring Detroit muralist Hubert Massey.
The free event is from 2 to 4 p.m. March 18 in the Franciscan Center, 6832 Convent Blvd.
Massey is known for the fresco murals all over the Detroit area, including in Greektown, at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, the Detroit Athletic Club, and at the Cobo Center in 2014.
Massey studied at the University of London’s Slade Institute of Fine Arts, and learned technique from former assistants of well-known artist Diego Rivera.
■ The Art Supply Depo in Bowling Green is hosting the exhibition of a local photographer.
Bianca Garza’s show, Test Plot, is inspired by the effects of industrialized agriculture on soil, plant, animal, and human health, and “society’s tendency to replace the real with the synthetic.”
It will be installed through March 25, when it will end with a reception with the artist from 5 to 7 p.m.
