Ex-worker says Chrysler fired him for posting data

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. An information technology worker at Chrysler LLC said he was fired after he used his company computer during work hours to post the office phone number and e-mail address of the automaker s CEO online.

Rob Diel, 40, of Imlay City told the Detroit Free Press he posted Bob Nardelli s information on a readers comment section of the newspaper s Web site. The newspaper said it deleted the posting after a Chrysler representative complained.

They just said his Blackberry lit up after the posting related to an article on outsourcing at Chrysler, Mr. Diel said.

Chrysler spokesman Kevin Frazier declined to discuss Mr. Diel s case.

Mr. Diel worked at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant.
