Auto-parts firm to add 150 jobs at Huron plant


HURON, Ohio -- International Automotive Components Huron LLC, an Erie County auto parts supplier, has announced plans to add nearly 150 jobs over the next three years.

It also said it will spend $5 million on the plant, which with 593 employees is the largest employer in Huron and fifth-largest in Erie County.

Officials with the Erie County Economic Development Corporation said they along with Team Northeast Ohio, Huron city officials, the state, and JobsOhio helped prepare an incentive package to offer to the firm.

IAC Group, based in Luxembourg, operates 76 plants in 16 countries with a total of 23,000 employees.
