YPSILANTI, Mich. - Bowling Green State University edged Eastern Michigan 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the Mid-American Conference women's soccer tournament.
Ashley Enser's goal at 33:09 of the first half gave the Falcons the lead.
Jill Conover, who had assisted on Enser's goal, provided an insurance goal with less than two minutes remaining in the game, at 88:29, and it was insurance BG needed as Jessica Hupe tallied for Eastern 29 seconds later.
The Falcons, who play Western Michigan in the semifinals Friday at Buffalo, pulled even for the season at 9-9-1, while the Eagles leave the tournament at 11-7-2.
Buffalo, which beat Toledo yesterday, meets Miami in the other semifinal.
