Buckeyes beat Falcons with late goal 4-3


BOWLING GREEN - Bowling Green sophomore defensman Brian Escobedo tied the score at 19:12 of the third period, but Ohio State's J.B. Bittner scored 21 seconds later to give the Buckeyes a 4-3 victory in Central Collegiate Hockey Association play last night.

Escobedo scored on a shot from the slot after Bowling Green goaltender Tyler Masters (21 saves) was pulled for the extra attacker. The Falcons are 1-3-2 (1-2-1 CCHA).

Bittner's game-winner came on a goal-mouth scramble. OSU is 2-1-1 (2-1-1 CCHA).

Bowling Green defeated OSU 5-3 on Friday night.
