BGSU S Pope to play in Hula Bowl

Senior running back P.J. Pope has accepted an invitation to play in the Hula Bowl on Jan. 21 in Honolulu.

He is the first Bowling Green State University football player ever to be invited.

Pope, who has battled injuries all season, is the third all-time rusher in BG history with 2,861 yards and ranks second in career all-purpose

yards at 3,970 and third in TDs at 40. A two-time All-MAC selection, he has averaged 5.4 yards per carry, the second-highest average ever for a Falcon.
