Center Liz Honegger's 3-point shot at the buzzer for the Falcons (1-1) sent the game into overtime.
Barlow scored six of Notre Dame's seven points in overtime, finished with a game-high 10 rebounds and shot 11-for-12 from the free-throw line.
Kate Achter led five Bowling Green players in double figures with 20 points.
