Bowling Green coach Gregg Brandon said defensive linemen Michael Ream and Nick Lawrence have been suspended for breaking a team rule. Ream could rejoin the team, but Lawrence's future with the team appears less promising.
"I don't know if he'll be back," Brandon said. "We're going to play that by ear and see how that goes."
Defensive back Vincent Corner is also suspended due to academic struggles.
BGSU's defensive line problems don't end with Ream and Lawrence. Starting end Joe Schaefer sprained his ankle against Temple and will probably miss Saturday's game against Western Kentucky.
ANOTHER AWARD: Quarterback Tyler Sheehan was named Mid-American Conference East offensive player of the week. Sheehan completed 30 of 47 passes Saturday for 351 yards and four touchdowns. He received the same award after the first week.
TIME CHANGE: BGSU's Oct. 6 game at Boston College has been moved to a noon start and will be aired on ESPNU.
