BOWLING GREEN Bowling Green State University women s basketball coach Curt Miller has announced the addition of Danielle Havel to the program.
Havel, a transfer from DePaul, will sit out the 2009-10 season per NCAA regulations and will retain three seasons of eligibility.
Havel, a 6-foot-2 forward, is a native of Carmel, Ind. She played in 28 games off the bench as a freshman at DePaul in 2008-09, helping the Blue Demons to a 23-10 overall record, a 10-6 Big East Conference mark and a trip to the NCAA tournament. Havel averaged 0.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game, playing 10.9 minutes per contest.
The Falcons also announced they will host Chicago State in the preseason WNIT tournament on Nov. 13. The 16-team fi eld for the tournament includes 11 teams that played in the postseason last season.
