BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University wide receiver Freddie Barnes is headed to another bowl game.
Barnes, the NCAA all-division, single-season receptions record holder, will play Jan. 23 in the 85th annual East-West Shrine Game in Orlando.
Barnes, who made 155 catches this season, will play on the East team.
A Biletnikoff Award finalist, the fifth-year senior finished his career with a Humanitarian Bowl record 17 catches for 219 yards, including three touchdowns in a heartbreaking 43-42 loss to Idaho.
Barnes recorded eight games of 10-plus catches and 10 games 100-plus receiving yards.
