Bowling Green State University's Lauren Prochaska has been named one of 40 finalists for the 2010 State Farm Coaches' All-America women's basketball team.
The two-time Mid-American Conference player of the year, who averaged a team-leading 20.3 points and 5.7 rebounds, is the only player from the MAC named among the finalists.
Prochaska, a junior, played a prominent role in leading the Falcons to a sixth straight MAC regular season championship and a MAC tournament championship for the fourth time in six seasons.
The 40-player group was selected by members of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. The final 10-member team will be announced on April 3 during the NCAA Super Saturday events taking place at the women's Final Four in San Antonio.
