YPSILANTI, Mich. – Senior Lauren Prochaska scored 37 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Bowling Green State University women's basketball team to a 60-55 win over Eastern Michigan on Saturday.
The Falcons outscored the host school 8-3 in the final two minutes to improve to 20-4 overall and 8-3 in the Mid-American Conference. Eastern Michigan fell to 16-9 and 7-4.
Prochaska kept Bowling Green in the game in the first half by scoring 17 of the Falcons' 24 points, but BG trailed 31-24 at the break. In the second half there were five ties before Prochaska's 3-pointer with 1:42 to play gave the Falcons the lead for good.
While Prochaska finished with 37 points, no other BG player had more than six.
Sydney Huntley led Eastern Michigan with 20 points, while Tavelyn James had 15 and Paige Redditt 11.
