BGSU-Kent game to be televised
BOWLING GREEN – The Bowling Green State University men’s basketball team's home game against Kent State on Feb. 25 has been selected by SportsTime Ohio to be televised as part of the Mid-American Conference’s partnership with STO.
The selection means that the tip time at the Stroh Center will be moved to 6 p.m. from an original 4 p.m. start time. The BGSU women’s basketball team will host Miami at 1 p.m. earlier in the day.
The contest will be Bowling Green’s fourth game broadcast by STO this year. The Falcons have had televised games against Ohio and Eastern Michigan earlier in the season, and Saturday’s home game against Northern Illinois will be the third game televised by STO this year.
Currently, Bowling Green and Kent State are jockeying for position in the East Division. The Falcons are 4-4 in conference play, while Kent State is 5-3. The top two teams in the MAC will earn byes directly to the MAC Tournament semifinals and the next-best two teams will earn a bye to the quarterfinals. Right now, Kent State is tied for fourth and Bowling Green is just one game back.
