BOWLING GREEN -- The Bowling Green State University football team claimed a 48-8 victory over Rhode Island at Doyt Perry Stadium today.
The Falcons' Anthon Samuel ran for 127 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries, while Matt Schilz completed 20-of-27 passes for 281 yards and two TDs, both to Chris Gallon, who finished with four catches for 43 yards.
Meanwhile the BG defense limited the Rams to just 171 yards of total offensive, including just 75 yards passing.
Bowling Green improves to 2-3 overall, while Rhode Island is 0-4.
