Jake O’Brien scored 15 points, Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson and Scottie Randall each finished with 11, and Dalton Pepper and Anthony Lee added 10 apiece as the Owls improved to 10-2.

The Falcons fell behind early as Temple used an 8-0 run to lead 12-6 a little more than five minutes into the game.

Then the Owls started cashing in 3-pointers, making 5 of 10 in the first half to build a 39-25 halftime advantage. Temple made 16 of 27 shots in the first 20 minutes (59.3 percent).

Meanwhile, Bowling Green struggled offensively in the first half, shooting just 37.9 percent from the field (11 of 29) while turning the ball over seven times. Calhoun scored 11 of the Falcons’ 25 points in the first half.

The Owls steadily pulled away in the second half, steadily building a lead that reached as many as 29 points late until BG scored the last 11 points in the contest.

The Falcons open Mid-American Conference play Jan. 9 at Central Michigan.
