BOWLING GREEN -- The Bowling Green State University hockey team scored twice in the second period to lead No. 5 Notre Dame 2-1 at the second intermission.
Ryan Peltoma scored his first goal of the season at the 12:03 mark of the period, and Dan DeSalvo's goal at 14:23 gave the Falcons the lead.
Notre Dame's lone goal came in the first period by Bryan Rust.
Through two periods BG has taken 21 shots, while the Falcons' Andrew Hammond has made saves on all but one of the Fighting Irish's 16 shots.
