Bowling Green State University defensive tackle Chris Jones has been invited to participate in the NFL Scouting Combine.
The Combine, which is officially called the National Invitational Camp, will be held in Indianapolis on Feb. 20-26.
The 6-1, 293-pound native of the Indianapolis suburb of Brownsburg, Ind., was the Mid-American Conference defensive player of the year this past season. He posted 42 tackles, including 19 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks, to lead the Falcons to an 8-5 record, a 6-2 MAC mark and a berth in the Military Bowl.
The NFL combine draws executives, coaches, player personnel staff and medical personnel from all 32 NFL teams to evaluate the nation’s top college football players eligible for the upcoming NFL Draft.
