■ Notes: The Falcons look to win their third in a row this season as well as third straight in series against the Titans. BG also has won six of the last eight meetings. … Detroit has lost twice to Toledo this season, dropping a two-point decision at home and by 16 at Savage Arena. … The Titans, who also lost by 19 points at Akron, were picked to finish eighth in the nine-team Horizon League in a preseason poll. … Detroit is led by Juwan Howard, Jr., the son of the former Michigan and NBA standout. He averages 17.2 points per game. … Among NCAA Division I schools, Bowling Green ranks 12th in blocked shots (6.7 blocks) and 15th in steals (9.4 steals). … The Falcons have four active players scoring in double digits this season — Richaun Holmes (14.0 points), Spencer Parker (13.6), Jehvon Clarke (11.8), and Anthony Henderson (11.3).

BG has already beaten both Michigan and Ohio State. … The Falcons’ last victory over a nationally-ranked team came in a 25-point victory against Dayton at the Stroh Center last season. … BG, which has won five in a row, also looks to keep pace with the best start in school history. The 2010-11 team opened the season 15-1. … Purdue was picked to finish third in the Big Ten in a coaches preseason poll. … The Boilermakers’ only losses came to nationally ranked Duke and Stanford. The team’s leading scorers are Courtney Moses and KK Houser, each of whom average 14.8 points per game. … BG’s bench has scored 38 and 40 points in the team’s last two games. … Deborah Hoekstra has scored 56 points off the bench in the last three games after scoring just 34 points in the first seven contests.
