The 21st annual Toledo Children's Hospital Golf Benefit presented by the hospital foundation was a two-day event at Inverness Club.

The event was in memory of Dick Liden, founder of the benefit, who died earlier this year.

Alliene Liden, Dick's widow, and many of his friends were there to help raise funds for the Autism Collaborative and Angie's Place children's library at the hospital. The library was named for the Lidens' daughter, Angela, who died in 1983 when she was 6 years old.

The golf event ended with a ParTee on the Green at ProMedica Health System headquarters.

More than 300 guests were transported via golf carts to the party overlooking a creek. A big clear tent decorated with flowers and golf paraphernalia set the beautiful scene.

Swingmania band played peppy tunes as guests feasted on foods provided by local restaurants including Mancy's Steakhouse, Rosie's Italian Grille, Treo, The Melting Pot, The Beirut, LaScola and Magic Wok.

Gadding about were Don and Claire Finnegan, Rick Youssef, Cindy and Dave Taylor, Colleen Langenderfer and Tom Dawson, Garry and Jan Roberts, Dee and Tim Janney, John and Andrea Monoky, Dave Parrish, Jane DiSalle, John and Bridget Ansberg, Dan and Sharon Farrell, Lisa and Frank Barone, Randa and Hussein Shousher, George and Michelle Mancy, and Labib and Karyn Hajjar.

Also exciting was the raffle for a spa day for four at Evolv Aesthetic Spa. It was won by Michelle Jaffe. The cutest item in the auction was a black and white Havanese puppy donated by Phil and Betsy Barone. Doug and Brenda Hartley Dymarkowski won with the highest bid and took it home to her mother.

Meg Ressner and Jim Murray, general chairmen of the two-day event, report a net of more than $150,000.

They were assisted by Todd Ansberg, golf chairman and Linsey Ansberg, ParTee chairman.
