The holiday season is bustling with formal affairs that entice many to get all gussied up for a night out. Cocktails, fine dining, and music are all set amid traditional red and green hues accented with sparkling lights.

Stone Oak Country Club had an early start Nov. 17 with its annual Holiday Lights complete with fireworks, a 12-piece band, and a DJ. Chairman Brooke Schmitz was assisted by her hubby Brian Schmitz and Cynthia and Jeff Coleman.

Toledo Yacht Club's Commodore's Ball Nov. 23 honoring 109th commodore Barry Vincent and lady Becky was a great way to show off the club in its holiday glory. Guests included commodores from Cleveland, Toledo, Detroit, and Canada. The American and Canadian national anthems were sung by the incoming commodore's cousin Leigh Beining.
