Perrysburg author slates book-signing

Sharona Muir will read from and sign copies of her new work, The Book of Telling: Tracing the Secrets of my Father s Lives, Thursday at 7 p.m. at Borders Books & Music at Westfield Franklin Park.

Muir, of Perrysburg, is an associate professor of writing at Bowling Green State University. The memoir is about her father s years of work for Hammed, Israel s secret science corps. Hammed was comprised of young engineers and scientists who designed weapons that eventually assisted Israel s defeat of a coalition of Arabic countries following the British withdrawal from Palestine in 1948.
