Sylvania plastic surgeon Bethanne Snodgrass, author of a book for women who are considering breast reduction surgery, will have a book signing at 7 p.m. Thursday at Borders Books & Music, 5001 Monroe St., at Westfield Franklin Park.

Dr. Snodgrass' book, When Less is More: The Complete Guide for Women Considering Breast Reduction Surgery (Collins, 2005), is the first book written for women considering breast reduction surgery.

On Oct. 17 at the Washington Branch Library, 5560 Harvest Lane, teen author Jaime Adoff will read from his novels, discuss the writing process, and conduct a question-and-answer session.

The program, which is free and open to the public, starts at 7 p.m.

Adoff is the author of several books, including Names Will Never Hurt Me, Jimi and Me, and The Song Shoots Out of My Mouth: A Celebration of Music.
