Author and noted sports journalist Christine Brennan will be in town Friday for a talk and book signing at 10:30 a.m. at the Maumee Branch Library, 501 River Road, Maumee.
Brennan will speak about being raised in Toledo, her relationship with her father who encouraged her love of sports, and her career in the male-dominated world of sports.
She has worked for the Miami Herald, Washington Post, and now for USA Today. She is the author of Best Seat in the House: A Father, A Daughter, A Journey Through Sports (Scribner, 2006) and other books.
There will be free refreshments and a book signing following her talk. Borders will sell copies of her current book.
