Owens Community College will host men's and women's games today in the first round of the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference basketball tournaments.
The men's game will be at 2 p.m. at the Student Health and Activities Center, with the women's game to follow at 5 p.m. The top-seeded Owens men will play No. 8 Cuyahoga CC (4-19). The Express women, seeded third, will play No. 6 Clark State CC (16-11).
Both games will be broadcast on WCWA (1230 AM). The winners will advance to next weekend's semifinals in Dayton.
The Express men are ranked third in the final regular-season National Junior College Athletic Association Division II poll. They are 26-2 overall and won their second straight OCCAC regular-season championship at 12-2. The Owens women (19-9) finished third in the OCCAC at 9-5.
