Owens takes two

OWENS 74, CUYAHOGA 67

HIGHLAND HILLS, Ohio - The Express trailed 34-30 at the half and led by no more than one in the second half before Jeremy Robinson and Dominic Harrison hit back-to-back 3-pointers that put Owens ahead by five with 1:30 left.

The Express (18-2, 4-2 OCCAC) then sealed the win at the line, where they hit 20 of 22 free throws for the game, far bettering their 57 percent performance coming in.

Andrae Martin paced Owens with 17 points, Robinson had 15 and Sean Washington contributed 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Darron Robinson scored 16 for Cuyahoga (13-7, 3-4), which outrebounded the visitors 37-25.

OWENS 78, CUYAHOGA 36

HIGHLAND HILLS, Ohio - The Express moved to 15-6 overall and 2-0 in the OCCAC with the blowout.

Lauren Strong paced Owens with 12 points and Laura Wilson had 11.
