FINDLAY - University of Findlay wrestler Tony Guerra captured the title at 149 pounds last night in the NCAA Division II wrestling championships.
Guerra (27-6), a Waite graduate, scored a 5-4 victory over Shane Unger, the No. 6-ranked wrestler in the country, in the final. Guerra upset No. 1-ranked Ryan King, of Augustana, S.D., 6-2 in the semifinals.
"This is the greatest feeling in the world," Guerra said. "I knew I had to be aggressive at the end because I was warned for stalling. I was able to get two takedowns early and that was the key."
