Owens women trounce Columbus State


Owens 104, Columbus State 68

Aja Hall had 23 points, six rebounds, and five assists to lead the visiting Express. She became only the sixth Express women's basketball player to eclipse the 900 career point mark. She finished the day at 901 points.

Uniqua Mitchell had 22 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three blocks for Owens Community College. She was 4-for-7 from 3- point range, 6-for-6 from the foul line and 6-for-12 overall from the field.

Also scoring in double figures for the Express were: Emma-Jean Ricketts with 16, Karahn Scott with 13, and Hailey Galvan with 12.

Audrey Anadien led Columbus State with 25 points.


Columbus State 100, Owens 82

Justin Edmonds led the Express with 25 points, but Owens Community College couldn't overcome a solid Columbus State effort.

Franklin Lindsey and Taronta Cole both scored 11 for the Express.

Glenn Cosey paced Columbus State with 25 points.
