ADRIAN — The father of three brothers who disappeared almost four months ago is headed back to Lenawee County District Court to be arraigned on new charges.

Circuit Judge Margaret Noe Wednesday remanded John Skelton, 39, to District Court for arraignment on six new charges filed in the disappearance of the Skelton boys: Andrew, 9, Alexander, 7, and Tanner, 5. Mr. Skelton’s attorney, John Glaser, asked the judge to move the criminal case against his client for arraignment and possible preliminary examination.

Lenawee County Prosecutor Jonathan Poer amended the complaint against the unemployed truck driver to include three counts of kidnapping and three counts of unlawful imprisonment, charges that carry possible life sentences.

Mr. Poer told Judge Noe he wasn’t opposed to remanding the criminal case.

A date for Mr. Skelton’s arraignment has not been set. The Morenci man is being held in lieu of $30 million bond.
