Jury finds Perrysburg Twp. man guilty in toddler's death
BOWLING GREEN — After four hours of deliberation Wednesday, a Wood County Common Pleas jury found a Perrysburg Township man guilty of reckless homicide in the death of a 3-year-old Perrysburg Township boy.
Defense attorney, Chris Zografides, said Ronald Pheils, 19, of Hufford Road, Perrysburg Township, was sentenced immediately after the verdict to three years in prison.
Joshua Cox, who was 3 at the time of the incident, died March 26 after authorities said he was violently shaken in his home, also on Hufford Road.
Mr. Zografides said he plans to appeal the verdict.
