Judge rules against review in assault

A Lucas County Common Pleas Court judge decided no further review was necessary of the psychological and medical records of a 14-year-old developmentally disabled girl whom a Toledo man is charged with kidnapping and raping.

Ricky Jamison, 49, of 4285 Keygate Drive, Apt. 103 is charged with three counts of rape and one count of kidnapping for abduction of the teen reported missing for more than 22 hours after being taken from her front yard March 3. He is in custody in lieu of $400,000 bond.

His attorney filed a motion to compel the state to give the victim's records to the defense. Judge Gene Zmuda ruled Friday a competency hearing for the victim was not needed and no more documentation pertinent to the case was found.

The case is set for trial April 23.
