Pair indicted for Oregon burglary
A man and woman from Toledo were indicted by a Lucas County grand jury Thursday in connection with the robbery of a 72-year-old woman inside her Oregon apartment.
Pierre Whitiker, 29, of 705 Walnut St. and Sarah Gonzalez, 24, of 1934 Talbot St. were each charged with aggravated burglary. If convicted, they each face up to 11 years in prison.
The pair remain in custody at the Lucas County jail.
Authorities said Mr. Whitiker and Ms. Gonzalez followed a woman to her residence on Navarre Avenue after she had withdrawn money from a bank on Jan. 3.
The male assailant pushed the victim inside the apartment and both suspects then demanded cash.
