Toledo man accused in September shooting arraigned

A Toledo man accused in a September shooting was arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court today.

Justin Strong, 32, of 1224 Walbridge Ave., is charged with one count of felonious assault. His bond was set at $100,000; he is being held in the Lucas County jail.

In court documents, police allege that the suspect shot Homer Williams III, 52, on Sept. 26 on the porch of the duplex where he lives in the 1700 block of Oakwood Avenue. The victim was hit in the arm, hand, and chest and treated at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.

The suspect is to appear in court again on Dec. 10.
